dormsyde is a platform that helps australian university students find collaborators for projects, startups, hackathons, and competitions. think of it as a central place to connect talented students who want to build things together.

who can use dormsyde?

Currently, dormsyde is open to all students at australian universities. We're focused on serving the australian student community to create strong local network effects.

do I need to create an account?

yes! in order to make a project post, you must be signed in!

posting projects

what types of projects can i post?

we welcome all kinds of collaborative projects:

• startup ideas looking for co-founders
• hackathon team formation
• research projects needing assistance
• competition entries
• society or club projects

how do i write a good project post?

be specific! include:

• clear description of what you're building
• specific skills or roles you need
• your university and contact information
• project timeline or deadlines

how long do project posts stay active?

project posts remain active indefinitely. if you find all the collaborators you need, please email us to remove your post.

safety & trust

how do I know if someone is legitimate?

we recommend:

• video call before meeting in person
• meet in public campus spaces initially
• verify their university email address
• ask for references or previous work examples

what if I have a bad experience?

currently, you'll need to post a new project and email us to remove the old one. we're working on an edit feature for future versions.
